What Sets Us Apart...
- Beyond 3 v 3 increased playing time. Five players on the field all of the time, subbing on the fly.
- Pick-up game environment. The league's registration process supports whole teams or singles, so if you're looking to play, but don't have a team... no problem!
- Longer games. Two 25 minute halves for every age group gives time for fitness and tactics to become more important to the game.
- Bigger goals. More realistic to the real game, players can aim for areas of the goal rather than just “the goal”.
- Realistic boundaries. Just like the real game, all players can go anywhere on the field. No penalties for stepping in the goal box.
- Better player development. 5-a-Side lends itself to a 1-2-1 system of play which naturally creates the diamond and triangle team shapes players should look to maintain when playing larger side games.
- Goalkeepers. Our game trains keepers in the off season. It also trains forwards to shoot on goalkeepers rather than empty nets. With the modern game (back pass rule) 5-a-Side also encourages goalkeepers to play as field players, improving their footwork on the ball.
- Swag. Every participant get a great looking T-shirt. Additionally, players on the pair of teams contesting the championship in each division will also get high quality awards.
