OUR REGISTRATION PROCESS HAS CHANGED: This year, each player registers individually via an on-line system allowing for payment by check or (preferably!) credit / debit card. The Player Registration form includes a field to indicate a coach's name (for youth registrations) or team name (for adult registration) so that if players would like to build a team they are able to do so, otherwise players will be placed at random on an ad hoc 5-a-side team formed just for the league.

Colorado's first and best freestyle outdoor 5-a-Side summer soccer league is returning to Northern Denver in 2011. 5-A-Side takes your 3 v 3 game to the next level with bigger fields providing more space for you to get creative, real live goalkeepers and no restrictive goal boxes. Created in the United Kingdom, 5-a-Side is a fast-paced game which gets you back to playing soccer instead of worrying about rules, referees or endless sitting on the bench. Teams are restricted to a maximum of ten players for each 50 minute game, giving everyone plenty of playing time. While referees are appointed for each game, players call their own fouls and the referees should rarely be involved.

Every team gets eight games (seven regular season and a single play-off week) on lush and flat fields around Broomfield:

  • Kick-off Times Each Evening at 5:00p, 6:00p and 7:00p
  • The league will run Monday June 6th to Friday July 29th except for the Monday divisions which will skip Monday July 4th in recognition of Independence Day and instead will play their last matches on Monday August 1st

All participants get a T-shirt and the top two teams in each division will receive awards. Register early and pay only $30 per youth player and $35 per adult player.
